Dr. Parsa is an Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes exclusively in Orbital Oncology & Orbital Reconstructive Surgery. After graduating with honors from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Dr. Parsa completed a residency in ophthalmology at USC’s prestigious Doheny Eye Institute. He then completed a two year sub-specialty fellowship in Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami ‘s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. This is a highly competitive fellowship with only 12

offered spots in the entire United States . At Bascom Palmer, Dr. Parsa was trained in what has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the number one program in the country for the past several years.

Dr. Parsa is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at USC’s Department of Ophthalmology. For the past decade, he has been involved in many clinical and basic science research projects, and he has received numerous honors and awards for these research endeavors. Dr. Parsa has also published many articles, and he has been invited to lecture both nationally and internationally. His current research focus is in the development of customized 3-D implants for patients with major ocular and facial deformities.

Additionally, Dr. Parsa is involved in several humanitarian organizations. He is the President of Universal Children’s Fund which is a nonprofit organization committed to delivering surgical care and education to people in developing countries. He is an active volunteer surgeon for International Kids Fund and has participated in numerous reconstructive surgeries through this organization. One of these cases was recently featured in an hour-long special entitled A New Face for Marlie on Discovery Health Channel.
